Freedom
An electrifying composition, pulsating with the retro vibes of 80s video games, analog synthesizers, and the enchanting allure of Japanese animation films.
#synth-rock
In the lyrical vein of Poet Jim Harrison, a lo-fi tribute to Nature's essence unfurls.
#lo-fi
A heartfelt homage to the Wattstax festival of 1972, celebrating the profound journey of African-American liberation through the power of music.

01. VHS 1980 #synth-rock
In my early years, my parents possessed a treasure trove of cassettes and VHS tapes, a mysterious vault housing films, music, and video games. It was within this hyper-imaginative realm that my relationship with music first blossomed.
During the second phase in the 1980s, the infusion of potent rhythms and rock instrumentation added warmth and catchiness to the music. Synthesizers made their entrance, and the lyrics took on a more optimistic tone, delving into themes of romance, escapism, and the yearning for emancipation. "VHS 1980" is a multifaceted composition that pays homage to this glorious era.

02. FREEDOM #lo-fi
At the age of 10, I listened to my first tapes on my portable cassette player. And at that time, when you lived in the countryside, discovering great music was rare and expensive.
My first tapes were like old blues, hip-hop and lo-fi crossing with my burgeoning imagination, harmoniously blending the sounds of the novel with the picturesque backdrop of nature – vast fields stretching to the horizon, the serene blue and grey skies of northern France, and the fragrant essence of tides, hops and wheat.

The cross between these lo-fi cassettes and nature fed 'freedom', on a text by Jim Harrison.

03. Dreams #electro-funk
In 1972, within the heart of one of the most challenging neighborhoods in Los Angeles, a pivotal moment in the history of African-American music and communities unfolded.
Wattstax festival emerged as a monumental convergence of both political and musical forces, featuring the foremost soul and funk musicians of that era. This historic day witnessed the gathering of over 100,000 people, making it a defining moment.

The event symbolized for me the profound potential for liberation through music. Jesse Louis Jackson, an American Baptist pastor, Freemason, and civil rights activist who had confronted the harsh realities of racial segregation, delivered a masterful opening address, igniting a powerful and emancipatory musical celebration.

04. Life #ambient-minimalism
In 1989, my younger brother was born, and I knew he would be my only sibling. The day felt significant, with the sun radiating warmth.
I'll always treasure the memory of my father picking me up from school to meet my newborn brother.
I excitedly shared the news with everyone, running through the schoolyard in pure joy. This memory represents an infinite and untethered future, a precious reminder to embrace life despite its impermanence.
